Job Task Analysis (JTA) and Physical
Ability Test (PAT) Development, Validation, and
Administration Services
HMI develops and validates job-related physical ability tests
and hiring/retention standards based on a comprehensive
analysis of the physical components of work for
specific jobs. HMI provides these services to
a wide variety of governmental agencies including
law enforcement and the fire service.
HMI can provide fire departments with local validation of the
IAFF/IAFC's new Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
(as recommended by the IAFF/IAFC).
Additionally, HMI can provide any organization or enterprise,
public or private, a full array of on-site testing options for
job applicants.
HMI's test development model is responsive to:
